Children from Reception to Year 2 are all eligible for the Government Universal Free School Meal (UFSM) scheme.

Once a child reaches Year 3 you will need to apply for Free School Meals (FSM) in order to continue to receive free meals.

Applications for free school meals should be filed with your own local council.

If you have any difficulty with completing the form then please ring school and we will be happy to help you complete the form.

Children under the age of five are entitled to receive milk at school-there is no charge for this.  This will be organised by School.

We have a number of children (that we know of) currently in our school that can have severe allergic reactions to peanuts and other nuts. This allergic reaction (anaphylactic shock) can occur through ingestion of peanut/nut products, cross contamination and breathing peanuts in the air.

Since this condition can be life threatening, we are asking for your help in minimising the risk to these children by:

  •   Avoiding giving children peanuts in school lunches
  •   Avoiding giving peanut butter sandwiches, other spreads containing nuts such as Nutella and snacks/bars containing nuts
  •   Asking children not to share their lunches
  •   Making sure hand and faces are washed if nut products have been eaten before school.

Due to the potential severity of the problem, it is important that all parents and carers carry out the suggested measures and reduce the risk of any allergic reactions.

Please note that if you wish for your child to swap from dinners to packed lunches or vice versa, two weeks’ notice must be given. This must be put in writing on one of our forms available from the office.
